Jenna Ortega and Maddie Ziegler are both booked and busy. Ortega’s highly anticipated Netflix series, Wednesday, is scheduled to premiere in just a few days. Meanwhile, Ziegler recently wrapped up her first-ever starring role in the upcoming movie. bloody hell. But despite their actors’ busy schedules, they seem to make time for each other and nurture their friendship. In fact, Ziegler recently showed her support for Ortega at the Los Angeles premiere of Wednesday.
Ortega and Ziegler quickly became friends after being thrown in Failure. Before filming that Dancing Moms Alum paid the You visiting actor. Although they met by chance at a photoshoot years ago, they wanted to get to know each other a little better. Since their characters in the film (Vada and Mia) end up becoming friends, they wanted to create a real connection. Luckily, the two hit it off right away and they spent 13 straight hours just sitting and talking.
And it seems the actors have maintained their friendship even after the wrap Failure. In a recent interview with Wired, Ortega was candid about her friendship with Ziegler. “She’s one of my best friends ever,” he said Scream star shared about the dancer. “She was someone I clicked with immediately.”

Ortega went on to explain that she and Ziegler were actually quite alike. “I feel like Maddie and I are the same person in different fonts,” she said. “She’s such a madman. And I’m crazy about stuff like that [I] When I was younger I did autopsies on small animals. Like little lizards I found dead in my backyard. She’s a weirdo in the sense that she breaks into characters or moves or pulls faces.”
In the interview mentioned above, Ortega also revealed that Ziegler has an amazing ability that most people don’t realize or appreciate. “[She] always comes at the perfect time,” Ortega explained of her friend. “Your comedic timing is so underrated. She makes me laugh. We’re having a good time. We’re really weird together.”

Cleary, Ziegler and Ortega formed a real bond during filming Failure. Ziegler, for her part, speaks very highly of that Stuck in the middle alum too. “She’s the coolest person ever, I really love her that much,” Ziegler told NYLON of Ortega.
“She’s become one of my really close friends and I’m honored to have had the opportunity to work with her,” Ziegler continued. “I was very nervous about working with her just because I’m a fan of her work. She is so experienced. She knows what the hell she’s doing and I said ‘S*** that’s a lot, that’s scary to get into and work with her’ but she made it so safe and fun for me, everyone day to come to work day. There was no intimidation. She really said, ‘I’ll guide you and we’ll be there together.’ It was great fun. Even though the footage was heavy, we had so much fun off screen.”
