Jenelle Evans has her sights set on a new clothing line after previous failed attempts.
In the fall of 2021, Evans spent weeks promoting a clothing line on social media.
On Nov. 2, 2021, the former Teen Mom star wrote on Instagram, “I’ll be launching a new line of activewear/loungewear clothing soon! Each piece is designed with moms in mind: high waisted, high quality fabric and printed on demand.”
In a follow-up post, Evans wrote, “Did I mention loungewear too?! Another foretaste of what will happen on 11/17. will come!”
Less than a week before the clothing line was released, Evans uploaded a TikTok cry, informing her followers that “haters” had reached out to the company she was working with and that they were dropping her clothing line.
The caption on the TikTok video read, “Now the SewSewYou company is telling everyone my line is dead.” According to The Sun, Evans was also in tears over the incident on her Instagram Story.
Here’s what you need to know:
From Instagram, Evan’s page links to her shop, which showcases some of her new clothes.
A sweatshirt contains a small cloud with the text: “I haven’t smoked all day.”
Another sweatshirt reads “wine time” and shows a woman pouring a martini.
Reddit users immediately took to social media to share their thoughts on the articles.
One person wrote, “Not only is this obviously inaccurate but sooooooo ugly wtf.” Another wrote, “What a bozo hahahaha.”
And a third wrote: “I mean… is it martini time or wine time? That’s a significant difference.”
The sweatshirts retail for $41.99.
Evans plans to launch a new clothing line come amid the health issues she has been facing in recent months.
In March 2022, Evans told E! News that she has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve had extremely bad tension headaches and body aches – like I have the flu but I’m not sick,” Evans shared. “My whole body is in such pain and sometimes I lie in bed and cry. [For] For a long time nobody believed my symptoms until recently I got a second opinion from a new neurologist.”
Then, in April 2022, Evans wrote a blog post titled “Life Moves Fast.”
In the piece, she wrote, “Lately I’ve been taking time to myself to focus on my health. As you may have heard, not long ago I was hospitalized for extreme chest pain. They ruled out heart and lung problems in the emergency room. Since contacting my neurologist, their office has referred me to someone who specializes in myasthenia gravis (a chronic autoimmune disease similar to fibromyalgia) for a confirmed diagnosis.”
She added that she will continue to post diary entries to keep her fans up to date with her friends and family.
“I’ve decided to make daily journal entries here about what’s going on in my life, news about the family or just how I’m feeling and maybe I need to express my thoughts. I want to build a huge community with everyone and having a place to do that on my own website is a great opportunity.”
