Former Dancing With the Stars competitor and former NFL star Antonio Brown has spoken out after an explicit photo of himself and his ex was posted to his Snapchat.
On January 17, 2023, some fans saw a sexually explicit photo on Brown’s Snapchat Story that showed the mother of three of his children, Chelsie Kryiss, giving him oral sex. Snapchat quickly removed the photo and Brown’s account was promptly suspended, according to TMZ.
A Snapchat spokesperson told the outlet that the incident was “under investigation.” On January 18, 2023, Brown denied posting the photo, claiming his account was in fact hacked.
Heavy has attempted to reach out to a Brown representative for comment.
Here’s what you need to know:
Brown told Twitter that his Snapchat account was hacked and he hopes to fix everything “as soon as possible.”
“My snap chat site was hacked. Work with @snapchatsupport to get this fix ASAP. he tweeted.
Several people responded to Brown’s tweet, many accusing him of lying and believing he actually posted the inappropriate photo himself, despite his claims.
“I don’t think I laughed as hard at a tweet as I do now, thanks Antonio Brown.” one person wrote.
“At least you didn’t blame the Matrix.” someone else tweeted.
A Snapchat spokesperson told TMZ that Brown’s account has been completely removed from the platform while the incident is being investigated. The outlet has not indicated whether the account will be restored.
According to Snapchat’s Community Guidelines listed on its website, the platform prohibits “accounts that promote or distribute pornographic content.”
Kyriss and Brown have had a turbulent relationship over the years. According to The Shade Room, a celebrity news account, Kyriss responded to the latest incident on her Instagram Stories.
“I am well aware of what has been posted on Snap. I have no control over his actions. I’ve asked multiple times for this part of our past relationship to be kept private but he refuses,” Kyriss wrote shortly after the photo was uploaded to Brown’s Snapchat, according to The Shade Room.
Although the image was promptly deleted from Snapchat, it was shared on various social media sites, including Twitter and Reddit.
“I reported his page and all the pictures. Unfortunately, Snapchat allows him to repost. I feel very sorry for any of your children who follow him and used to look to him as a role model,” she continued.
“I do not condone these actions as you know I have involved children as well,” Kyriss added.
“Revenge Porn Lawsuit. Easy,” one person commented on The Shade Room’s post.
“That’s why he feels untouchable because he’ll never be held accountable. She has to file a police report and file a lawsuit because this is crazy,” read another comment.
