Addressing the rumors, Vasquez said “an unethical charge had been made.” It’s sexist. It’s unfortunate and disappointing, but at the same time it kind of belongs to the territory.

Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer, has once again debunked rumors that she is dating her client. Vasquez addressed fans and tabloids’ curiosity about whether she was dating the Pirates of the Caribbean star in a recent interview with People. She explained, “I think part of being a woman is just doing her job.”

“It’s disappointing that certain outlets walked by or said that my interactions with Johnny – who is a friend and whom I’ve known and represented for four and a half years – that my interactions were in any way inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear,” she said in an interview.

“I care deeply about my clients and we’ve obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the whole team, and of course that includes Johnny,” says Vasquez. “And I’m Cuban and Colombian. i am tactile What can I say? I hug everyone And I’m not ashamed of it.” Vasquez explains that “my work is my love” and “when I love, I really love very much.”

The attorney also said she had a partner who she describes as “very happy.” She also stressed that dating a client was unprofessional for a lawyer. She continued, “It’s also an unethical charge. It’s sexist. It’s unfortunate and disappointing, but at the same time it kind of belongs to the territory. I can’t say I was that surprised.” She continues, “I’m Cuban and Colombian. i am tactile What can I say? Meanwhile, Depp’s admirers flocked to the 37-year-old lawyer after she defended him in the case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp’s fans made memes depicting Vasquez as Marvel’s Thor and even shared TikToks showing the pair holding hands and conversing intimately, synced to romantic music. She also told Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos earlier this week that being an overnight social media star in the wake of the scandal was “overwhelming”. “It was surreal. A bit overwhelming if I’m honest. But if I can be an inspiration to young women who want to study law, study and work hard, then I’m all for it,” she added.

A native of San Francisco, Vasquez earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Southern California and a law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. She was also promoted to partner in her firm, Brown Rudnick, following the Depp-Heard trial for her pivotal involvement as a member of Depp’s legal team. After just four years with Brown Rudnick, she was promoted to partner. Brown Rudnick said in a statement: “We are pleased to announce that Camille Vasquez has been made a partner. She was a key member of the trial team that won a verdict for actor #JohnnyDepp in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard last week.”
