The upcoming season of Yellowstone will be its largest in terms of episodes, serving as the launch pad for two new shows
Western dramas have always been quite intriguing and they have a fan base of their own. One show that has managed to capture everyone’s imagination is none other than Yellowstone. Since 2018, the Paramount series has been responsible for delivering many compelling storylines, and that’s one of the reasons why it’s one of the most watched shows on television. The fourth season finale broke viewership records as more than 11 million viewers tuned in to see the final episode of the fourth installment.
The season four finale was filled with love, death, and goodbyes. Jamie made it clear to everyone that he was a Dutton, and the most important thing we saw was John Dutton (Kevin Costner) taking care of Jamie (Wes Bentley). Not wanting to lose Jamie, he asked Beth (Kelly Reilly) if he lost Jamie forever. But it seems that the feud between Jamie and the Duttons is far from over. This makes Season 5 more interesting than ever and maybe that’s why Paramount thought of making it bigger than ever.

“Yellowstone” season four finale SHATTERS becomes the most-watched series on television since 2017
For the uninitiated, Sylvester Stallone will be playing a lead character in a television series for the first time in his career in Tulsa King. He will play an aging gangster recently released from prison. Meanwhile, 1932 is all about John Dutton Sr.
With Season 4 breaking viewership records, it’s no surprise that Paramount decided to treat viewers to an oversized edition. Recently we saw Stranger Things do something similar with Season 4 and split it in two. The first part of Season 4 had seven super-big episodes, while the second part of Stranger Things would make its way to the streaming platform on July 1st.
It will be interesting to see if Paramount and Taylor Sheridan decide to increase the duration of the episodes as well.
Sheridan recently landed a new deal with Paramount, and we’ve learned that the Yellowstone creator has been offered $200 million for his services. It’s worth noting that alongside the above shows, Mayor of Kingstown has also been renewed for Season 2. In December 2021, it was reported that production of the second season had already begun and Paramount announced the renewal on February 1, 2022.
If you’re a fan of Taylor Sheridan and the universe he created, you’ll be delighted, especially if you’re a “Yellowstone” fan because you’ll be seeing more episodes than usual and it could have more action than any previous installments .
