Actor Ravil Isyanov is dead. He died on September 29, 2021 at the age of 59 in his home in Los Angeles. His manager, Frederick Levy, told People magazine that Isyanov had cancer.

“Ravil was a unique person. He was a true gentleman, extremely generous and incredibly talented,” said Levy of his late client.

The Russian-born actor was best known to fans for his role as Mafioso Anatoly Kirkin in the CBS series “NCIS: Los Angeles”. According to Levy, the producers were informed about Isyanov’s health.

“He knew his future was bleak because of cancer and he let the producers know and advised them that if they wanted to write him out, maybe they should do it soon … I just thought it was very nice that they were in were able to see him off appropriately. “

Isyanov spent much of his childhood in the greater Moscow area, where he studied music, ballet and theater. He served two years in the Soviet Air Force and then attended the Moscow Arts Theater School and the British American Drama Academy.

In 1998, Isyanov came to Los Angeles to devote himself entirely to acting. In addition to his seven episode role in “NCIS: Los Angeles”, he also plays in films such as “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” (2005), “The Good German” (2006), “James Bond 007 – Goldeneye” (1995) or “Transformers 3” (2011) with.
