Could ‘The Today Show’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ merge? Some fans think they should. “The Today Show,” aka “Today,” currently hosted by Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager, has long been a staple of morning television on NBC. According to IMDB, the show premiered in 1952 and has been successful for decades.

On Friday, September 16, Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron appeared on “Today” for her “Relationship Dilemmas” segment. A teaser on Instagram showed Kotb and Hager unable to focus on their work as Cameron adjusted his suit jacket. The words “When Tyler Cameron is in the studio…” appeared on screen, complete with googly eyes and fire emojis.

The hosts revealed they invited Cameron because they felt it was time to get a man’s perspective on relationship dilemmas, and since he’d been dating on national television, he seemed like the perfect choice.

During the segment, Cameron offered his top dating advice, which is to learn from rejection and remember, “It’ll only get you one step closer to where you want to be.” Cameron gave callers with specific questions on their relationships dating advice.

According to TV Shows Ace, “For the most part, viewers at home admit they absolutely melted when they saw him on their TV screens. And they really wanted Hoda and Jenna to pull some strings to bring this man back to the show as a regular.”

The outlet continued, “In the comments, both those who knew Tyler Cameron and those who had never seen him before raved about him. Some joked that George Clooney had to move because there was a hot new man in town… Some viewers pointed out that Jenna and Hoda were quite the vibe with Tyler Cameron and they wanted MORE than just a single hour to get him in to see the show.

TV Shows Ace also reported, “Others joked that this gorgeous hunk of man meat was EXACTLY the spice the show was missing. Some asked The Today Show officials to offer him a position as a regular in the cast.”

Although most fans raved about Cameron’s presence on the show, according to The Sun, some viewers were “unhappy with the ladies’ behavior in front of their guest.” According to the outlet, some viewers thought there would be a huge outcry if the roles were reversed and male hosts swooned over a female guest. They asked Kotb and Hager to “do better”.

However, most of the responses to the Instagram post revolved around how attractive users found Cameron. One fan wrote, “I couldn’t focus or speak,” followed by several fire emojis.

“Oh, he’s so beautiful!” commented another.

Another user wrote: “Never heard of him!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️. Now I have to google his name!!!” Posts like this reiterate a point made by TV Shows Ace: “Not everyone who watches The Today Show also watches stuff from the Bachelor franchise. So there were a lot of viewers who had absolutely no idea who Tyler was… Considering The Today Show would be able to immerse itself in Bachelor Nation’s franchise audience, it might not be a bad idea to cast him for more regular ones to win appearances on the show.”
