BBC One viewers have been informed that months after the death of the actress who portrayed her, the legendary character would be getting the send-off she deserves.
June Brown breathed her last at the age of 95 earlier this year and stars of the London-based drama paid their respects on social media.
She was a longtime EastEnders icon, playing Dot for more than three decades.
The fan favorite is accorded an off-screen death.

As she prepares for an interview, she will realize that Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) is lying to Mick Carter about her pregnancy.
This will all be in an attempt to keep Linda Carter, Mick’s former wife, away from the pub’s keeper.
The truth may be catching up to Janine and a worried Sonia is about to make a mysterious phone call that could help her as she thinks the Walford villain is getting out of control.
Sonia tries her best to calm Janine who has been desperately trying to keep Linda away from Mick while her insecurities take over.

Janine thinks they are getting closer again and is paranoid, leading her to spy on both Mick and Linda.
Sonia catches her in the act and tries to reassure her that she has everything in her head.
Janine later rages towards Sonia about the former couple and Sonia continues to promise her that Mick is fully committed to her.
In her opinion, Janine should have no doubt – Linda is out of the picture.
