After dominating the scoreboard so far, the first half of Disney Night dethroned Amanda Kloots
With every episode of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ the competition is getting tougher than before. While some celebrities are slowly emerging from their shells, others fight head-to-head every week to keep the top spot on the leaderboard. And if Amanda Kloots has proven something so far, it is a force to be reckoned with.
After Kloots has shown spectacular performances in all performances so far, she has made it known that she is a frontrunner together with JoJo Siwa. While the two dominate the competition, it looks like ‘Disney Heroes Night’ is about to change that. This week she danced the rumba to ‘You’ll Be In My Heart’ from ‘Tarzan’ with her pro dancer partner Alan Bersten. Kloots explained why this song was important to her.
When it came to the jury’s criticism, everyone was of the opinion that while it was a good performance, a few elements were missing. Len Goodman explained that for a rumba you need control, romance and chemistry. But while the duo checked those boxes, they said they missed the dance challenge. Bruno Tonioli also agreed that the dance challenge was out of sync. However, he thanked them for the eye candy as their performance was effortless, simple, and natural.
Carrie Ann Inaba noticed the duo were trying a proper rumba while Derek Hough was impressed with the way Kloots moved on the dance floor. The judges all gave Kloots an 8, resulting in a score of 32 out of 40. This was an interesting chain of events as it always managed to stay on top, but Melora Hardin’s performance took the top spot in the leaderboard this episode.
What do you think? Did Amanda Kloots deserve the scores she got? Should they have been higher or lower? Tone in the comments below.
