Carly Rae Jepsen and Taylor Swift have some things in common. Both worked with producer Jack Antonoff. They will release both albums in 2022 and even share an October release date. Here’s what Jepsen said about the accidental overlapping of The loneliest time and midnight.

Some know her from “Call Me Maybe” and “I Really Like You”. Since her debut on the music scene, Jepsen has cemented her reputation as a pop princess and released Dedicated and a “side B” version of the album.

Recently, the artist has performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Governors Ball Music Festival 2021 in New York City and SUMMER SONIC Tokyo 2022. She also announced the loneliest time planned for an October 2022 release.

Before the premiere of her album, this artist released the singles “Western Wind”, “Beach House” and “Talking to Yourself”. As her last single The loneliest time era, the performer released the title track with “Hallelujah” singer Rufus Wainwright.

“I can’t believe I’m finally getting to say that,” Jepsen said tweeted. “‘The Loneliest Time’ (the song) by @rufuswainwright is out this Friday. If you like 5-part string sections, 4:30+ track lengths, and disco power ballads, you might want to check it out.”

before The loneliest time Premiere, Jepsen hosted several concerts across North America and even appeared in co-headlining concerts with Bleachers. During the tour, Jepsen mentioned her upcoming album release and co-release date with Swifts Midnight.

“Oct. 21 – it should be easy to remember because it’s the same day Taylor Swift is releasing her album,” the artist said said while throwing down her jacket. “Anyway, now for something else entirely.”

As a highly anticipated release from the always artist, Swift chose not to release singles ahead of release midnight. She teased the track listing for the October 21 release and also mentioned the inspiration for her album.

“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through horrors and sweet dreams. The floors we walk on and the demons we face,” Swift said in a statement. “For all of us who have tossed around and decided to leave the lanterns lit and go on a quest – hoping that maybe we’ll meet when the clock strikes twelve.”

Though these artists dominated the 2012 pop charts, there’s no word on Jepsen and Swift’s friends outside of music. There is some overlap, however, as Bleachers’ Antonoff serves as producer and songwriter for both cast members.

One of her most recent social media interactions was on Twitter in 2019, when Swift added “Want You In My Room” to her “PlaylistByME.” jepsen retweeted the playlist and wrote, “Thanks for adding ‘Want You in My Room’ to your new playlist.”
