EASTENDERS fans are used to seeing star Milly Zero in the role of the scheming Dotty Cotton.

The young actress’s life is a world apart from life in Albert Square, with glamorous evenings and a famous rapper friend – not to mention her mother of the same kind.

Milly, 22, joined the cast in 2019 as Dot Branning’s granddaughter, replacing Molly Conlin, who previously played the role as a child.

And it’s not the first time the Peckham-born star has appeared on television.

Milly, a former BRIT student, graduated from high school in 2017 with a trio in English literature, dance, music and theater.

But the budding star actually made her television debut when she was 13 on CBBC’s All At Sea.

The show is about Charlie, a London boy who moves his family to run a bed and breakfast by the sea.

Milly was cast as his rude older sister, Hannah Enright, and played the role for two years.

In 2017 there was a small role film The Foreigner for Milly – short for Melissa.

The British film starred both Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan.

When her role on EastEnders was announced, Milly gushed, “I’m honestly so excited to play Dotty Cotton and join the E20 family, especially with June Brown, who I’ve been watching on TV since I was a kid.

“She and Dotty have such an interesting relationship with a complicated story to explore, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. It all feels very surreal and I’m already buzzing. “

Rapper friend

Milly is currently dating artist Ransom Fa, and the musician can be seen regularly on her timeline.

They became Instagram officials when she visited him in Scotland after the ban was lifted.

Cuddled up while the town of Oban created the perfect backdrop, she captioned the snapshot: “My love ❤️”.

But the soap star had previously hinted at her romance with Ransomware Fa, made famous in BBC Three’s The Rap Game.

She shared a sultry selfie of herself in a floral dress with her bra strap and quoted one of the rapper’s lyrics.

She wrote: “‘Well, your purple belt defo is not out’ – @ransom_fa”.

Ransom Fa, whose real name is Efe Ibojie, battled six other artists in the BBC Three competition to win a recording deal with Krept and Konan.

Based in Aberdeen, he’s now using his profile to help other young black and Asian artists get into the music industry.

Family and friends are obviously very important to Milly as you can often see her going out.

In addition to having drinks on the roof with friends, she also enjoys spending time with her family, including her mother, whose image she is.

The actress celebrated her mother’s 50th birthday with an outdoor summer party last year.
