While the trolls hate, TWICE is the first girl group and second K-pop act to sell out stadium concerts and encores in the United States

TWICE and their fans are living their best life right now as the girl group continues to make history with their concerts. They had the most attended concert of any K-pop girl group in North America and were also the first to announce an encore concert. They also became the second K-pop act after BTS to have two stadium concerts. TWICE also became the first girl group to earn $2 million for a concert and $4 million for two US concerts.

Just a few days ago, TWICE made history again by becoming the first K-pop girl group and first foreign female act to hold three sold-out concerts at the Tokyo Dome. Their popularity in Japan was made even more apparent as they became the second female band in history to reach this milestone, after J-pop group AKB48. TWICE’s ongoing fourth world tour “III” also helped increase their label, JYPE’s net worth, by 1 trillion won (~$815 million) in just 3 months of 2022.

After their record-breaking concerts in Japan, TWICE recently flew to California for their encore concert in LA. Following demand from their sold-out US portion of the tour, which had already added two additional dates, TWICE decided to do an encore concert on May 14th at Banc of California Stadium. And not surprisingly, even the tickets for the encore concert were sold out immediately.

Knetz were proud, but also jealous, because they too wanted to attend the concert. They’ve had posts like “I’m so jealous of American ONCEs,” “Wow, TWICE really is that popular in the US,” and “Well, amazing… It’s great that TWICE is so popular it’s filling the stadium in the US.” .” However, there were some antis who claimed the concert was a flop as it looked like they weren’t performing in a stadium but in a small arena. Well, fans hit back when they point out that Banc of California Stadium has the word “stadium” in its name and has a seating capacity of 22,000.

Ein Knetz commented: “Are you saying it’s not a stadium because it doesn’t seat 40,000 or 50,000? It’s not easy for a Korean singer to perform abroad like that. Please support them. I’m proud of them even though I’m not a fan of them.” One fan shared, “There are a lot of dedicated haters here. The devotion to commenting on every other comment just to downgrade achievements twice is actually funny to watch.” Another added, “The biggest gg I’m scared for.” One fan tweeted, “The haters cry while we die Celebrating our girls’ successes!! Let her cry, ignore her, just enjoy the moment, enjoy twice.” Another said, “Antis don’t like to see a successful woman.”
