The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 5th in Los Angeles at the Arena. The 2023 Grammy Awards nominees were announced in November 2022. As the awards ceremony approaches, Showbiz Cheat Sheet is predicting the winners of various categories. Here are Showbiz’ predictions for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

At the 2022 Grammy Awards, Doja Cat and SZA took home the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for the song “Kiss Me More.” The Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award is given to the artist who performs the winning song.

The 2023 Grammy Awards nominees were announced on November 15, 2022. The 2023 nominees for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance can be viewed below.

Best Pop Duo/Group 2023 Nominees:

Of the nominees, Post Malone and Doja Cat appear the closest to winning the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.

I Like You (A Happier Song) was released on June 3, 2022. The single is part of Post Malone’s 2022 album Twelve carat toothache.

Since its release in 2022, “I Like You (A Happier Song)” has been a consistent radio hit. Although the song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, it also reached the top 10 on the adult Billboard Top 40 Airplay chart.

It’s one of Post Malone’s most successful singles since his 2019 song “Circles,” and unlike some singles, it’s remained stable well past the promotion cycle Twelve carat toothache.

Post Malone has yet to win a Grammy Award, but with the nomination for “I Like You (A Happier Song)” he has 10 Grammy nominations.

Doja Cat now has 14 Grammy nominations and has previously won in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

If Post Malone and Doja Cat don’t win Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, it wouldn’t be a surprise as the nominees feel pretty evenly matched on the odds.

Sam Smith and Kim Petras released “Unholy” in September 2022. The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Smith the first openly non-binary artist to reach #1 and Petras the first openly transgender woman to reach #1 reached 1 song in the chart.

Thanks to TikTok, “Unholy” went viral. Given the chart history behind the song and its popularity, Smith and Petras seem worthy contenders for “Unholy” winning the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award.

If “I Like You (A Happier Song)” or “Unholy” don’t win, Coldplay and BTS’ “My Universe” could take home the award.

Coldplay has been nominated for and won numerous Grammy Awards, while BTS has been nominated three times for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. The song features English and Korean lyrics and was included on Coldplay’s album Music of the Spheres which received a nomination for Album of the Year.
