IF YOU are tired of receiving spam text messages on your iOS device then you must try this iPhone hack ASAP.
Shared on TikTok, the useful tip uses iPhone’s internal settings to help iOS users filter out unwanted text.
The TikTok reel shared by user @scottpolderman shows the simple hack in a 15 second video.
In the post, titled “iPhone trick” followed by a series of iPhone hashtags, the user could be seen recording himself saying, “Here’s an iPhone trick I’m sure you didn’t know , number 18.”
Polderman then changed the camera’s angle to capture his iPhone’s home screen.
He went to his device’s settings and then selected Messages.
Polderman scrolled all the way down and then ticked Filter unknown senders.
The TikTok video has since gone viral, garnering more than 57,000 likes and 2,368 comments.
Many of the comments expressed their gratitude and highlighted the prevalence of spam text messages.
One of the comments read: “I really like your videos and tips. Thank you for taking the time to do this!”
Another comment read: “So glad I found your account! It works!”
While Polderman’s video was certainly helpful to many iOS users, it wasn’t aimed at those using Android devices.
If you are an Android user, you can find a similar feature on your phone.
Just click Settings (shown as a three-dot icon) and then enable Caller ID and Spam.
