This winter, too, the clubs are trying to be well prepared for the second half of the season. You can find out who is still changing clubs in the t-online transfer blog.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s in England, Spain or Germany: the clubs in the best leagues in the world are looking around the transfer market and looking for new players.

Some teams are looking for reinforcements in the fight for international places, others want nothing more than to avoid relegation.

Donny van de Beek is not happy in his second season with English record champions Manchester United – and could now leave the “Red Devils”. According to consistent English media reports, the Dutch national player Borussia Dortmund is said to have been offered. However, whether the initiative came from the player himself or from Man United remains unclear.

In addition to BVB, the 24-year-old midfield all-rounder is said to have been discussed with Premier League competitor Newcastle United. In the summer, the then Man United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer vetoed an already negotiated transfer of van de Beeks to Everton. Now the former Ajax star, who moved to England in 2020 for 39 million euros, is to leave coach Ralf Rangnick’s club promptly.

Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen. At least that’s what “Bild” reports. The 25-year-old still has a contract in London until 2022, so he would be free in the summer.

A contract extension at the club coached by Thomas Tuchel is said to have collapsed at the last second due to high salary demands.

With the commitment of the former Gladbacher, whose current market value is estimated at 35 million euros by the industry portal “transfermarkt.de”, BVB could close the problem area of defense a bit. So far, none of those responsible in Dortmund have commented on the transfer rumor.

Denis Zakaria has already announced his departure from Gladbach for the summer. Now, however, it could happen very quickly in winter.

“Sport 1” reports that Manchester United with coach Ralf Rangnick should be very interested in Zakaria. As a fee, 6 to 7 million euros are therefore under discussion. In addition to ManUnited, BVB, Juve and Liverpool should also have Zakaria on the list.

The Italian first division club Lazio Rome apparently wants to sign the Mainz Bundesliga professional Jonathan Burkardt. Lazio is willing to pay up to 15 million euros for the U21 international, the “Gazzetta dello Sport” reported on Wednesday.

Burkardt is a preferred candidate for coach Maurizio Sarri, who sees the young star as the perfect strike partner for the experienced Ciro Immobile. Lazio are currently only eighth in the Serie A table.

Apparently, lawn ball sport Leipzig is looking for reinforcements for the storm. As reported by “L’Équipe”, the Saxons are said to have the only 17-year-old Mohamed-Ali Cho from the French first division club SCO Angers on their list. The attacker is one of the greatest talents of his year and has already gained experience in Ligue 1.

According to “L’Équipe”, Leipzig is ready to spend around 20 to 25 million euros on Cho. Anger’s president is said to be hoping for a fee of up to 40 million euros, but this sum is probably more wishful thinking.

Nico Schlotterbeck stays with SC Freiburg – for the time being. As sports director Jochen Saier confirmed, the central defender will not leave Breisgau in winter. “There is no question that there is desire. It is also very clear that we have already had one or the other conversation with other clubs because some have already put out feelers,” said Saier to the Sky TV channel on Tuesday. Several big clubs are said to be interested in Schlotterbeck’s signing, including FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old DFB newcomer, who is still waiting for his debut, is a defender at SC Freiburg and still has a contract until 2023. It is likely that he will leave the club in the summer, because after another year in Breisgau he could go free of charge.

The national player announced shortly before the turn of the year that Matthias Ginter would not be extending his contract in Gladbach. It is not known where he will move to in the summer. On the other hand, it is already clear who should inherit the 27-year-old.

Marvin Friedrich changes to the “foals”. The club announced this on Tuesday. Born in Kassel, he has been playing for Köpenicker since January 2018. With Dominique Heintz, whom Union brought from SC Freiburg during this changeover period, the Berliners also have a successor ready.

It was a news-packed Monday in the Bundesliga, as three clubs presented newcomers: VfL Wolfsburg, FSV Mainz 05 and SpVgg Greuther Fürth:

1. Wolfsburg gets young Polish star for the offensive

Regardless of the crisis in the Bundesliga, VfL Wolfsburg has hit the transfer market. The club has committed the young Pole Jakub Kaminski to the offensive. The winger is coming to Lower Saxony from Lech Posen in the summer. Kaminski has been given a contract until 2027.

The 19-year-old probably costs around ten million euros. At least that’s what “Bild” reports, among other things. Bonus payments can further increase this sum.

2. Fürth finds a new goalkeeper

Greuther Fürth wants to remedy their difficulties in the goalkeeping position by signing Sweden’s Andreas Linde. As the bottom of the Bundesliga table announced on Monday, 28-year-old Linde signed a contract until the summer of 2024.
