Man seriously injured in Glasgow incident

A man was found seriously injured on a street in Glasgow

The 31-year-old was found in Barony Drive, Baillieston, just after midnight on Saturday.

He is being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Scottish Police are asking for information on how he was injured.

A number of people wrote on social media that there was a heavy police presence in the area.

A police spokesman said: “At around 12.10am on Saturday 15 January officers were called to Barony Drive in Glasgow after a 31-year-old man was found with serious injuries.

“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital before being taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is being treated.

“An investigation is being conducted to determine how this man sustained his injuries and anyone with information is asked to call police on number 101 quoting incident number 0014 on Saturday 15 January 2022 to turn.”
