An animal trainer is under investigation after a disturbing video surfaced of him allegedly throwing a German shepherd into the ground at the TyCalK9 dog training center in Arcola, Texas

An animal trainer is under investigation after video surfaced of him allegedly throwing a dog into the ground.

The disturbing video was reportedly taken at the TyCalK9 Dog Training Center in Arcola, Texas, according to ABC13.

In the footage, which was widely shared on social media, the trainer picks up the German shepherd by his leash before swinging him over his shoulder and pounding him into the ground.

The dog can then be heard whimpering in desperation as it tries to get up after the attack.

Now the Fort Bend County Attorney’s Office has confirmed that they are investigating what happened.

“The district attorney’s office is actively investigating a report of animal cruelty regarding a video posted on social media depicting the alleged abuse of a dog in Fort Bend County,” the office said in a statement.

“We cannot share the details as the investigation is ongoing, but we take these matters seriously and do not condone animal abuse in any way.

“A thorough investigation by experienced animal cruelty investigators and prosecutors is underway.”

The Houston SPCA has also offered its assistance in the investigation, the news outlet says.

On its website, which appears to have been taken offline, TyCalK9 says it trains dogs for celebrity clients like NBA and reality TV stars.

The training facility’s Instagram page also appears to have been taken down, reports The Independent.

John Walker and daughter Lauren pleaded guilty to animal welfare offenses following an investigation launched by the RSPCA in December 2019.

The abuse came to light when a former Mucky Pups Doggy Day Care employee filmed John’s poor treatment of the pets, including causing seven dogs to suffer unnecessarily.

The video showed John, who was then working for his daughter, on the premises in Rishton, Lancashire, beating the dogs until they cried out in agony.
