Biden says US supply chain is fixed. It’s not, but at least he’s trying

Joe Biden may have exaggerated the case when he said the US government’s actions to deal with his country’s faltering supply chain averted a pre-Christmas crisis across the Atlantic.

America’s problems are not yet solved. Some of the business owners have made it clear that they are still struggling. Shop shelves are not as crowded as on a normal holiday.

But at least the US President is trying. Amid rising inflation, he created a task force in June with the aim of tackling the supply chain deadlocks caused by the pandemic, which have led to shortages and higher inflation.
