Judge Alexis Krot had some very harsh words for the elderly cancer patient who was unable to mow his lawn due to weakness
Michigan Judge Alexis Krot has famously become the talk of the internet after criticizing Burhan Chowdhury, a 72-year-old cancer patient, for failing to clean his lawn.
Chowdhury apologized to Krot and drew the judge’s attention to his condition, saying that he had been unable to tend his lawn due to physical weakness.
However, Krot decided the man’s unattended weeding situation in an alley was totally unacceptable and had some very harsh words for Chowdhury.

Shortly after the video of Judge Krot being rude to the old man went viral, a petition was launched calling for her removal for such inhumane behavior towards a senior citizen with cancer.
The petition went viral across the internet and social media and netizens made it clear that they had no ethical wrongdoing by Krot.
On Thursday, Change.org’s petition nearly reached its goal of 15,000 signatures as more people showed their support for Chowdhury.
Local news outlets in Detroit covered the incident and Zoom Call’s recording of her blasting the old man for his overgrown lawn — which had already been cleaned by the time of the hearing, received plenty of airplay.
Chowdhury was fined $100 for failing to clean his lawn. However, Krot’s behavior has been widely condemned by people across social media. People have criticized Krot for her severe lack of compassion for the older man.
Twiteratti appears to have collectively decided that Krot should not be re-elected and face the consequences for her behavior towards the older man, despite knowing he has cancer.
Some users accused Krot of being racist towards Chowdhury, who is also a man of color.
Several users also pointed out that the man’s neighbors should have helped him instead of putting him through a legal ordeal on an overgrown lawn as he has cancer.
